Sirubari Village Tour
Sirubari is a small village nestles on the southern slopes of a ridge at 1700m above from sea level. The altitude and aspect ensure a comfortable climate regardless of any season of the year. Pokhara, about 20km to the northeast, is the nearest major center. The travel time for the average group to reach the village from Pokhara is about 5 hours, an experience in it.
The village which is populated entirely by the Gurung people is small and compact with net and clean trails connecting the mainly stone and slate built houses. Sirubari offers attractive valley view’s stretching a ways towards the Terai. A short walk above the village gives visitors a spectacular Himalayan panoramic view that is hard to rival from any view point in the region. The living culture and tradition of Gurungs blended with their rich hospitality make for an unforgettable experience for anyone who visits Sirubari. Sirubari is the winner of PATA Gold Award 2001 in Heritage and cultural-Heritage category. |
- Day 01:Arrival Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu. You are welcomed by hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to hotel. Our guide will explain briefly the program upon arrival at hotel. B&B.
- Day 02:Sightseeing of world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley including: Kathmandu Darbar square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath stupa & Pashupatinath Temple. Overnight at hotel. B&B.
- Day 03:Scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara 6 Hrs. Overnight at Hotel. B.L.D
- Day 04: Early in the morning you will hike to Sirubari village, you will welcome by local people at Sirubari, and blessing by village lama (priest) ,Interact with home-stay families, dinner in local home & family. O/N at Siru Bari village.
- Day 05: Sirubari village tour, visit to Panchamul high school, Lunch back with families at home-stay. Interact with home-stay families and watch cultural shows. O/N at Siru Bari village.
- Day 06: Return back to Pokhara today you will visit Bindebashini Temple, Devi’s fall, Gupteshwor cave, Mahindra Cave & Barahi temple by boating in Phewa Lake. O/N at hotel.
- Day 07: Scenic drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara 6 hrs. O/N at Hotel.
- Day 08: Transfer to international airport for your home departure. “Farewell”
